VTM (Virtual Transdisciplinary Museums). A research project on a virtual setting up for museums

This research project has been developed with the goal of enhancing the cultural offer of eight museums from different sectors and of different sizes. The common feature among the museums is their location in the urban area of Turin. In fact, the research stemmed from a call for proposal from a local banking foundation, Compagnia di San Paolo, which aimed to promote the city’s cultural sector. Responding to the call, the research group addressed the city’s museums system. The research criteria involved using selected museums as case studies to propose a virtual set-up for museums in general, regardless of their location. A critical part of this research was the diversity between the selected museums sectors, sizes, and popularity.
