The contribution discusses the necessary continuity of knowledge management throughout the entire spectrum of conservation activities, starting from the implication in a recent Conservation Management Plan applied to the system of architectural heritage in Monastero Bormida, Asti (2020-2025). This topic constitutes a fragment of the complex and urgent reflection concerning the search for quality in architectural restoration projects. The cultural utility and the consequent collective advantages of applying logical processes of knowledge management for built heritage are increasingly emphasized and discussed within the methodology of Planned and Preventive Conservation because of its procedural and strategic nature. Therefore, the paper refers to the current state of the art, as well as aspects of risk assessment, and contributes to the cultural perspective of the recent 2023 SIRA first draft document, “Documento di indirizzo per la qualità dei progetti di restauro dell’architettura”. Moreover, the legislative framework in which this issue needs to be addressed is the “Nuovo Codice dei Contratti pubblici” D.Lgs 36/2023, even though a procedural alignment can only be partially determined. The final goal of ensuring the continuity of knowledge management is to maximize the physical permanence and prevent replacement practices in the considered buildings. Therefore, this reflection discusses extending the approach and strategies of planned and preventive conservation from the monuments to the historic built heritage. The selected case study particularly highlights two strategic aspects: on the one hand, the community awareness and education, and on the other, the experimentation of an adequate information system aimed at describing the assets and managing the availability of a significant amount of information and knowledge to should be implemented and queried over time.

Abstract
The selected case study particularly highlights two strategic aspects: on the one hand, the community awareness and education, and on the other, the experimentation of an adequate information system aimed at describing the assets and managing the availability of a significant amount of information and knowledge to should be implemented and queried over time.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
