The paper deals with magnetic devices impact on LLC converter design for an on-board battery charger application in hybrid electrical vehicles. The paper starts with a LLC converter modelling using hypothesis of first harmonic approximation. The resonant and magnetizing inductors design constraints are investigated in the operation mode of LLC converter. Design guidelines are carried out to choice the suitable values for the zero voltage switching operation in the range of rated output power and input voltage variation. Finally, a case of study of a design procedure applied on 3.3kW full-bridge LLC converter for battery charger is presented.

Abstract
The paper deals with magnetic devices impact on LLC converter design for an on-board battery charger application in hybrid electrical vehicles. The paper starts with a LLC converter modelling using hypothesis of first harmonic approximation. The resonant and magnetizing inductors design constraints are investigated in the operation mode of LLC converter. Design guidelines are carried out to choice the suitable values for the zero voltage switching operation in the range of rated output power and input voltage variation. Finally, a case of study of a design procedure applied on 3.3kW full-bridge LLC converter for battery charger is presented.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
