Climate change poses significant challenges to building resilience, necessitating proactive measures in facade design and operational strategies. This research conducts a sensitivity analysis of facade parameters to evaluate their impact on the thermal resilience of buildings under future climate scenarios. Through one-factor-at-a-time adjustments, various facade design factors are scrutinized across different periods, from present to future climates. Key performance indicators (KPIs), including primary energy usage, overheating metrics, and heat release from buildings, are analyzed using building performance simulation tools. The studied strategies include reducing the heat transfer coefficient of the building envelope, minimizing solar heat gain, enhancing the reflective properties of both opaque and transparent components, and increasing natural ventilation. The study underscores the importance of a holistic approach to facade design and operational strategies in promoting sustainable building practices amidst climate change. Limitations of the study, including the one-factor-at-a-time analysis and focus on typical weather patterns, are acknowledged, suggesting avenues for future research to explore complex scenarios and incorporate advanced sensitivity analysis techniques for deeper insights into building facade thermal performance.
