Within the framework of disappeared heritage representation, this contribution addresses the reconstruction of the Provisional Chamber (Aula Provvisoria) of the First Italian Parliament, located in Palazzo Carignano (Turin). The study engages with the ongoing debate on source-based modelling, moving beyond the conventional aim of digital visualisation towards tangible restitution oriented to inclusive museum accessibility. The state of the art reveals a dichotomy between models conceived for optical rendering and geometries optimised for digital fabrication; the research bridges this gap by proposing a methodology that integrates the philological analysis of archival sources with advanced geometric synthesis. The workflow documents the transition from historical data to NURBS modelling, applying discretization processes and topological correction required for additive manufacturing (3D printing) and the concurrent migration into a Virtual Reality (VR) environment. The results present an experiential duality: on one hand, the 1:50 scale physical model, which, through composite sections and material abstraction, ensures the haptic legibility of the constructive syntax; on the other, the immersive experience, which spatially recontextualizes the Chamber. In conclusion, the study defines an operational protocol that transforms the drawing of memory into tactile matter, validating the use of digital fabrication as a tool of cognitive mediation for a broader audience.
