Abstract
For future all-optical metro-access networks using PON upstream burst mode transmission, we experimentally investigate on the resulting EDFAs gain transient and its impact on the “regular” DWDM coherent metro wavelengths, focusing specifically on typical 125 microsecond frame time-constants and evaluating the post-FEC OSNR penalty.Pubblicazioni consigliate
