In the present study a simplified model able to predict the dynamic behavior of a rotating beam is proposed. The model is based on a splitting of the beam in many longitudinal sections. Starting from a static scenario the beam is analyzed, the sections are then used to move from a continuous beam to a lumped parameters model. An experimental test bench is designed and realized to validate the model results in terms of acceleration and damping factor.

Abstract
In the present study a simplified model able to predict the dynamic behavior of a rotating beam is proposed. The model is based on a splitting of the beam in many longitudinal sections. Starting from a static scenario the beam is analyzed, the sections are then used to move from a continuous beam to a lumped parameters model. An experimental test bench is designed and realized to validate the model results in terms of acceleration and damping factor.Pubblicazioni consigliate
