Thermoplastic composites are increasingly being applied in the oil and gas industry for pipelines, risers, and other components due to their corrosion resistance, lightweight nature, and ease of installation, leading to reduced costs and extended service life of equipment. This study aims to evaluate the impact of tab application on the tensile 0-degree properties of thermoplastic fiber-reinforced composites. To achieve this objective, a series of experiments was conducted on two types of composites: CF/PEEK and CF/PVDF. Challenges were observed in tab adhesion to the composites, influencing the obtained properties, especially for CF/PVDF. A parametric study was conducted for tab angular misalignment at 5 degrees of the composite.
