The communication project subject of this contribution responds to the public engagement and dissemination activities promoted by the Department of Architecture and Design of the Politecnico di Torino to enhance the history and prospects of the department itself. Conducted, with the support of the MODLab Arch Modelling Laboratory, by a team of researchers in the field of Architectural Drawing and Design, the latter belonging to the Masterplan Team, the activity is divided into a series of events, aimed at the presentation of the future Campus of Architecture, Design and Planning, designed by the Masterplan Team, which will integrate the spaces of the Valentino Castle and other accessory buildings, and the exhibition of the physical model that represents it, enriched by augmented reality, together with different communication media. The augmented physical model is at the centre of the communication project, flanked by other media, to characterise, interpreting in an extensive sense the concept of èkphrasis, a continuum, which manifests itself in at least three spheres: verbal-visual, analogue-digital, real-virtual.
