The northwestern suburbs of Beijing are protected by the West Mountain, with a flat terrain and close to the Yuquan Mountain water system and the Wanquan River water system. The natural environment is superior, forming the basic pattern of "three mountains and five gardens" royal garden cluster. This article starts with historical ancient books such as "Records of the Qing Dynasty" and imperial poems, sorts out and counts the rituals and praying activities of the Qing emperors in the northwestern suburbs of Beijing, digs deep into the places and routes of the Qing emperors' rain praying activities in the northwestern suburbs of Beijing, and makes statistics from Shunzhi to Guangxu The specific content, activity location, activity type and activity time of rain prayer activities in the period, and the law of rain prayer activities are summarized, and it is concluded that April and May are the most frequent months in terms of rain prayer activity time; in the rain prayer activity locations, Jingmingyuan Dragon God, Heilongtan, and Guangrun Temple are the most frequently visited places to pray for rain; among the types of rain praying activities, burning incense and praying for rain is more frequent. Summarize the four paths of praying for rain in the Yuanmingyuan section, the section from the Summer Palace to Jingmingyuan, the section from Jingmingyuan to Jingyiyuan, and the section from Changchun Garden, and further interpret the sacrificial and praying rain activities in the northwestern suburbs of Beijing from the perspective of historical documents.
