Holothurians, as marine invertebrates, contribute to enhancing the productivity of benthic communities in their ecosystem. They achieve this by releasing trapped nutrients, reducing stratification, and enhancing sediment nutrification. In our study, we introduce a point-process model designed to estimate the spatial density of holothurians integrating two sources of data: photogrammetry data suffering from the presence of Posidonia oceanica meadows and data from manual inspections by SCUBA divers.

Abstract
Holothurians, as marine invertebrates, contribute to enhancing the productivity of benthic communities in their ecosystem. They achieve this by releasing trapped nutrients, reducing stratification, and enhancing sediment nutrification. In our study, we introduce a point-process model designed to estimate the spatial density of holothurians integrating two sources of data: photogrammetry data suffering from the presence of Posidonia oceanica meadows and data from manual inspections by SCUBA divers.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
