Abstract

Global warming is causing frequency, areal distribution and intensity of precipitations to change while the occurrence of severe rainfalls and snowfalls events has increased. In the framework of the adaptation to the threats, the development of tools for the identification and the management of destructive phenomena are here shown. By using machine learning-based approach, improving landslides susceptibility maps are created to account for climate change impacts, then, a new cutting-edge debris flow and avalanche detection system is presented to reduce the associated risk.
