Palazzo Acaja in Pinerolo: an ongoing, partecipatory project / Palazzo Acaja A Pinerolo: un progetto in divenire e partecipato

From a methodological point of view, drawing up a restoration project whose aim is the conservation of an architectural heritage requires, in the first analysis, an in-depth understanding of the building and the stratifications that define it. The restoration project adopts the results of research and analytical investigations to conserve and transmit what characterises the building and determines its historical and cultural value. The contribution presents the results of the investigation work carried out by Politecnico di Torino professors and students on the so-called Palazzo Principi d’Acaja in Pinerolo (Turin) to actively contribute to the elaboration of an appropriate restoration and enhancement project for the building.
