The status of the first 140 GHz 1.5 MW CW (1800s) industrial gyrotron unit (TH1507U) manufactured by THALES for the W7-X Stellarator at Greifswald, Germany, is presented in this paper. The design of the industrial tube and the performance achieved are briefly discussed.
