After two years of automated generation of the Italian time scale UTC(IT) based on UTCr as steering reference, and after switching to the steering algorithm based on the Italian cesium fountain ITCsF2, INRiM Time Laboratory is ready for the next upgrade: mixing UTCr and ITCsF2 measurements to improve stability, accuracy and robustness of UTC(IT).
