As underlined by the Faro Convention (2005), fostering the conservation and care of cultural heritage requires promoting the development of a "heritage community" that, by "valuing specific aspects of cultural heritage", actively contributes to its permanence and transmission to future generations. From this perspective, it is essential to implement actions that, through a synergy of competencies between public, institutional and private actors, pursue the enhancement, enjoyment and dissemination of cultural heritage, bringing the “stones” closer to the “people” (Montanari 2015, 135). Over the last few years, we have witnessed the increasing spread of enhancement policies, triggered by private initiatives or public-private partnerships, aimed at producing knowledge and promoting the dissemination of culture and cultural heritage. The examination of some case studies makes it possible to explain the activities and outcomes of the work of Third Sector Organisations engaged in cultural heritage enhancement actions, and to highlight the strategic role played by voluntary organisations in promoting a more widespread knowledge, understanding and conservation of architectural and landscape heritage.

Abstract
The examination of some case studies makes it possible to explain the activities and outcomes of the work of Third Sector Organisations engaged in cultural heritage enhancement actions, and to highlight the strategic role played by voluntary organisations in promoting a more widespread knowledge, understanding and conservation of architectural and landscape heritage.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
