The present paper describes the usage of BIM methodology to create a database recovering all information from a series of tests applied on prestressed concrete bridge beams from a dismantled viaduct in Turin, Italy. This research is included on the framework of BRIDGE|50 project, in which different types of tests (destructive and non-destructive) and inspections were performed on bridge beams to study the effects of damage on ageing infrastructure. BIM is used as a platform to recover and store all information coming from the testing campaign to have a unique database to control the data and possibly host predictive algorithm for damage evolution analysis and maintenance operations. The outcome of this work highlights the effectiveness of BIM to integrate and operate data coming from different sources for a new approach to infrastructural management

Abstract
The present paper describes the usage of BIM methodology to create a database recovering all information from a series of tests applied on prestressed concrete bridge beams from a dismantled viaduct in Turin, Italy. This research is included on the framework of BRIDGE|50 project, in which different types of tests (destructive and non-destructive) and inspections were performed on bridge beams to study the effects of damage on ageing infrastructure. BIM is used as a platform to recover and store all information coming from the testing campaign to have a unique database to control the data and possibly host predictive algorithm for damage evolution analysis and maintenance operations. The outcome of this work highlights the effectiveness of BIM to integrate and operate data coming from different sources for a new approach to infrastructural managementPubblicazioni consigliate
