Abstract
Avalanche hazard on energy infrastructures represents a critical point to be addressed in mountain areas. An analysis of a case studio in which some energy infrastructures were involved by avalanches is carried out. The aim of the framework is to find an approach to reduce the risk of disruptions and, thus, increase the resilience of the energy production and distribution system. The preliminary steps are presented herein: after a detailed historical study, some simulations in the open source Avaframe software are achieved. The input parameters derive from the observed release areas and the real snow conditions. Some hints concerning the structural analysis are given.
