This paper deals with the seismic reliability of non-linear base-isolated reinforced concrete structures equipped with Lateral Impact Resilient Double Concave Friction Pendulum devices. This frictional isolator has an improved inner slider capable of resisting the internal impact between the inner slider and the restraining rims. The behavior of the superstructure is represented by a fourdegrees- of-freedom model. Incremental Dynamic Analyses were performed, and Fragility Curves were obtained for different structural properties. Finally, the seismic reliability of the RC superstructure was evaluated showing a better seismic performance in comparison to the classical isolation systems formed by Double Con-cave Frictional Pendulum bearings.

Abstract
