Digital technology is not only an auxiliary technology for building form generation and expression, but also an important tool for architects to carry out integrated design and optimization of building performance. The optimization of building performance requires coordination of design between different specialties , adjustment of building design schemes according to simulation results in the design process, and consideration of management strategies in the building operation stage and precise control of the whole process, which can be further fed back to the final expression of building form. This paper takes the zero-energy building practices of South China University of Technology in SDC2013 and 2018 as examples, summarizes the practical methods and digital tools in the performance optimization of zero energy buildings, analyzes the technical deficiencies of digital tools in the whole process of performance optimization of buildings from an architectural perspective, and points out the development direction of digital tools technology for green building performance optimization.

Abstract
