Our contribution is part of an interdisciplinary research project, which aims at re-evaluating the role of the physical model in the study and communication of Architectural Heritage, assuming the model as the physical/tangible/haptic declination of Representation. Our interest arises as much from the historically consolidated role of the physical model in Architecture as from the interest in it assumed in Mathematics (from Monge’s school onwards). This approach is the result of a synergy combining Representation and Mathematics between theory and practice. We are using origami inspired paper models with Descriptive and Analytical Geometry tools, applied to roofing systems and we are currently working on the engineering of these models with laser engraver techniques. The goal is to share a geometric and tangible approach to Architectural Heritage. Here we discuss some significant examples.

Abstract
Here we discuss some significant examples.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
