We provide the description of a new model approach for the diagnosis of actual evapotranspiration in terrains with complex orography. The LABFLUX model inputs come from existent network of standard meteorological stations, from land cover maps, and from digital terrain model. We performed a model validation, using measured eddy covariance data. Results show a good agreement with observed data although no calibration was done.
