Here we discuss physics containing Poissonian distributions. Among the phenomena, we find thermoionic emission of electrons, photodetection and Poisson noise. After a description of the Hanbury Brown - Twiss effect, we will consider the second order correlation of intensity and Poissonian, super- and sub-Poissonian lights. The quadrature and squeezed states will be also considered.
