This paper investigates the simultaneous compaction of soft magnetic composite materials and permanent magnet powders together. The final target is the construction of multilayer magnetic blocks, which can be used for various applications, specifically in electrical machines. This approach provides more freedom to build special electrical machines with very complex magnetic structures. In fact, multilayer material blocks reduce the total number of elementary parts that have to be assembled to get the final structure, especially in permanent magnet machines. This not only increases the mechanical properties of the cores, but it can also enhance the machine performance. In this study, the concept of multilayer compression of soft magnetic composite materials and bonded magnet powders by means of single pressing and subsequent magnetization process is described, and possible applications are introduced. In addition, some samples have been realized and experimentally characterized in order to have a detailed view about the proposed concept.

Abstract
In addition, some samples have been realized and experimentally characterized in order to have a detailed view about the proposed concept.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
