The world's population is ageing rapidly. According to the World Health Organization, in the near future urban centers will be increasingly populated by citizens over 75. Starting from a collection of qualitative and quantitative data in outdoor green area of the city of Turin, from surveys and interviews, the article analyzes how the space is used, in relation to users satisfaction. Often, despite the aging people need to carry out social and recreational activities in outdoor spaces, the green areas are underutilized because not accessible or degraded. The results of the surveys give a complex picture of physical, psycho-emotional and social needs, on the basis of which to direct conscious and effective design solutions aimed at accessibility and social inclusion. The paper shows the first research outcomes related to the on-field surveys.
