How does the architecture student learn to draw? What? When? These are all legitimate questions, if we consider them within the context in which they are formulated. In fact, there are many ways to learn to draw and there are more variations that can take different practices, depending on the background and the defined approach. In this contribution we present a teaching activity proposed in the first year of the bachelor’s degree in Architecture in the Drawing and Survey Laboratory: it is the experience of redrawing a published project, with the intention of educating students in conscious and critical reading/understanding/interpretation of graphic sources. For this purpose, the choice of the right graphic sources is fundamental in order to have the correct supports for reading and critical analysis. All graphic sources can be used for this exercise, but we must know how to interpret them and give the right importance and the right sense and interpretation to the sources that are collected.

Abstract
All graphic sources can be used for this exercise, but we must know how to interpret them and give the right importance and the right sense and interpretation to the sources that are collected.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
