Nowadays, a big part of the researches in the powder metallurgy field is involved in the optimization of the Additive manufacturing processing, especially if applied to Ni-based superalloys. The use of AM technologies to process such alloys, especially in the aeronautical industry, results particularly interesting since it can lead to a reduction of machining operations and overstock material. Mechanical properties of components processed via AM, are particularly linked to the amount of retained porosity and the final microstructure. Both these qualities are strictly related to the processing parameters adopted, thus their optimization is crucial. This paper deals with processing parameters adopted for the manufacturing via Selective Laser Melting (SLM) of samples made of Inconel 625 and 718, also giving some details about the heat treatments performed after the building process. The mechanical properties were assessed via hardness measurements.

Abstract
The mechanical properties were assessed via hardness measurements.Pubblicazioni consigliate
