Many students have difficulties when reading and writing mathematical conjectures because they have not yet fully appreciated the abstract nature and logical structure of the subject. In this paper, we describe guided student activities that are designed to overcome the previous problems. We experimented with such activities in an Italian high school class and in training courses for high school math teachers. These activities use origami as the main tool to elucidate the logical structure of mathematical statements in a concrete way. Based on our experience, teaching logic with origami can bring numerous benefits to the classroom, motivate students to learn, and actively participate during the lessons, and make it easier for them to grasp complex abstract concepts.
