Abstract

Typological and built innovation applied to school buildings as new educational templates’ preview and support. From the Golinelli Art and Science’s center to the Sora’s experimental school In the last years, the defined “architecture of knowledge” namely edifices dedicated to host lectures, research and technological transfer from primaries schools to universities, has globally interpreted an independent way to develop issues related to sustainability. Some european countries have focused much economic and intellectual energy in testing the efficiency of new technical and constructive models implemented to the design of universities, new school districts, kindergartens and elementary schools to address the issue like ethnic groups meet, the traditional professor-student dialectic overcoming, the indoor air quality (IAQ) optimization and energy saving. Also in Italy the best architects and engineers have a go to this subject many times to compensate some considerable needs as the new school buildings inclusion in the established urban fabric for developers with specific needs, many times proposing totally unprecedented solutions inspired by innovative educational programs having very good formal and typological results. This interesting thought and testing step, still far from his conclusion, can be the birth of a fruitful collaboration between many skills which go from the designer, through the psycologist, educational expert up to the legislator that transposes in the form of guidelines the results of the best implementations.
