This work describes the research activity in the Terafly project which aims at the development of an automated architecture for the inspection and measurement of industrial components. The project addresses flaw detection and analysis of para-aramid synthetic fiber components by means of Terahertz 3D tomographies and CAD models. This paper describes the stages of the system, from the model-to-object mapping to the automatic geometrical measurements.

Abstract
This work describes the research activity in the Terafly project which aims at the development of an automated architecture for the inspection and measurement of industrial components. The project addresses flaw detection and analysis of para-aramid synthetic fiber components by means of Terahertz 3D tomographies and CAD models. This paper describes the stages of the system, from the model-to-object mapping to the automatic geometrical measurements.Pubblicazioni consigliate
