Abstract
Wine cultural landscape is the meeting of vineyard, which impose form to the land and carry spatial identity, and man, who built those landscapes drawing and creating rifts in the ground with his hands. From this point, the research has begun a phase of census and documentation of knowledge dataset about wine cultural landscapes of WHL in Europe. Both through official sources and tools of statistical analyses to raise features of direct, potential and future consumers. From Pico Island (Portugal) to Jurisdiction of Saint-Émilion (France), it was possible raise different kind of wine realities through identification of commons features (connection with soil and climate) and of peculiarities (terrains, rows, tools and ways to cultivate grapevine and produce wine) often impose by genius loci. Result of this phase is the clear link between landscape and terroir, various system both regional and national scale: in Piedmont Region and in the entire Italian peninsula wine and grapevine draw landscape. This research, operational and in support of valorisation strategies of these landscapes, propose an “Italian Wine Landscapes System”. The project wants to integrate interventions on different scale: to be operative it needs uniform coordination in communication and research, through brainstorms and discussions between insiders and outsiders. The institution of regional centres is desirable in order to fine-tune the connection and management of local interventions, using well-known bottomup approach in innovative way.Pubblicazioni consigliate
