In this paper, the recently introduced Modified Bayesian Optimization Algorithm (M-BOA) is applied to the design of a reflectarray antenna, with the aim of managing the mutual coupling between adjacent elements and reducing side-lobe levels. The obtained results are particularly interesting, since they demonstrate the feasibility of using optimization techniques to manage the mutual coupling between reflectarray elements to yield improved pattern performance.
