Abstract
This paper illustrates the use of the 2D combined Finite-Discrete Element Method (FDEM) to model rock spalling behaviour in deep tunnels. The objective is to study the applicability of the combined FDEM as an alternative modelling tool to simulate the brittle behaviour around underground excavations.Pubblicazioni consigliate
