One of the most important processes to produce hydrogen rich gas to feed PEM-FCs is methane steam reforming (SR). Oxidative Methane Steam Reforming (OSR), represent an alternative route for hydrogen generation. In this work, Rh, Ru and Pt deposited over CeO2 and γAl2O3 carriers were prepared by combined solution combustion synthesis/impregnation and one step solution combustion, characterized (BET, CO chemisorption, TEM and XRD) and tested comparatively for steam reforming and oxidative steam reforming respectively. The best catalysts from both processes were compared in terms of catalytic performance. The obtained results showed the 1.5% Rh/CeO2 as best catalyst for the SR process as it gave good catalytic activity and CO2 selectivity at 675°C. Similarly the 1.5% Ru/ γ-Al2O3 was best for the OSR process.

Abstract
Similarly the 1.5% Ru/ γ-Al2O3 was best for the OSR process.Pubblicazioni consigliate
