Abstract
The present paper is purposed to enlight some cogent topics concerning the contributions of Geomatics’ applications to the Cultural Heritage documentation. Geomatics makes approachable new data recording methods and various documentation products featured by high detailed data and verified accuracy. Some 3D measurement techniques and image based survey products have been developed in order to enhance proper documentation of cultural heritage. 3D surface models, textured by restrained images, widen the potentialities of analysis and representation. Some peculiarities of new methods are evidenced, advantaging their proficiency to behave as tools for a more suistainable approach in the general process of cultural heritage safeguard and conservation. Then, a case study will be presented.Pubblicazioni consigliate
