Abstract
For pt. I, see ibid., pp. 2014-2017 (1992). A chiral or anisotropic layered structure is located in the region 0⩽z⩽d . A rectangular grid of conducting wires of radius r is embedded in the upper surface of the slab. The wire currents can be considered purely axial and the thin-wire approximation is valid. By incorporating the Kirchhof laws and by imposing the continuity of the charge at the wire junctions one obtains, after some algebraic manipulation, a specified low-frequency characterization of the screen. The expression for the surface impedance of the wire-mesh is an extension of the Casey (1977) and Kontorovich ones, because the loading slab can be anisotropic or an arbitrary sequence of chiral and/or anisotropic layers.Pubblicazioni consigliate
