This paper deals with the design realization and full control of a PM Assisted Synchronous Reluctance Machine (PMASR) for minimal hybrid electric vehicle. The work is based on a European Research Project that involved seven partners from five different Countries (including universities, motor producers and car makers) and that defined the specification for both a PMASR prototype and a Switched Reluctance prototype. The adopted motor design approach will be illustrated in the paper together with the observer-based control strategy. Experimental results are given, from the prototype drive.

Abstract
This paper deals with the design realization and full control of a PM Assisted Synchronous Reluctance Machine (PMASR) for minimal hybrid electric vehicle. The work is based on a European Research Project that involved seven partners from five different Countries (including universities, motor producers and car makers) and that defined the specification for both a PMASR prototype and a Switched Reluctance prototype. The adopted motor design approach will be illustrated in the paper together with the observer-based control strategy. Experimental results are given, from the prototype drive.Pubblicazioni consigliate
