An inductive voltage three-level converter is considered as a canonical power conversion cell. Nowadays industrial drives should provide less EMI and controlled AC/DC supply stage, while EV or HEV traction drives would adopt DC/DC interfaces to variable voltage sources. All of these applications would benefit from inductive three-level power converters whenever compact and efficient coupling reactors are available. Based on novel vector analysis and decoupled design parameters, a new family of integrated hybrid coupling reactors is proposed, together with design and control solutions. One medium-power prototype is presented and successfully tested, as shown by experimental reports.

Abstract
An inductive voltage three-level converter is considered as a canonical power conversion cell. Nowadays industrial drives should provide less EMI and controlled AC/DC supply stage, while EV or HEV traction drives would adopt DC/DC interfaces to variable voltage sources. All of these applications would benefit from inductive three-level power converters whenever compact and efficient coupling reactors are available. Based on novel vector analysis and decoupled design parameters, a new family of integrated hybrid coupling reactors is proposed, together with design and control solutions. One medium-power prototype is presented and successfully tested, as shown by experimental reports.Pubblicazioni consigliate
