The text refers to a survey of worldwide experiences based on city rooftops re-use strategies: they show a multiplicity of situations that innovate on traditional typologies by offering multiple ways of living, working, and using public services in the city. They all share a symbiotic approach that exploits the extraordinariness of the roof to foster a subtle shift in the building’s overall urban identity
