Abstract

In the first decades of the twentieth century, the city of Turin witnessed the establishment of a climate of fervent technological renewal, which was reflected in the realisation of architectures characterised by new structural and spatial solutions. The paper will focus on the study of some artefacts that testify to the diversity of reinforced concrete constructions. In particular, it will deepen the knowledge of the technical-constructive, distributive and formal features that characterise the workers' dwellings built to meet the housing needs of a rapidly growing city.
