This volume investigates the architectural and cultural exchanges between Europe and Argentina throughout the twentieth century, examining how the circulation of people, ideas, and technical knowledge contributed to the formation of multiple modernities. Challenging conventional diffusionist narratives, the contributions explore transatlantic processes of appropriation, adaptation, and cultural negotiation through analyses of architects, professional networks, postwar migrations, and archival practices. Bringing together new research on both canonical and lesser-known figures, as well as on women architects and underexplored archival collections, the volume offers a critical reassessment of architectural modernity as a plural and negotiated process shaped by translation, adaptation, and architectural reinterpretation. In doing so, it contributes to current debates on transnational history, heritage, migration, and the transnational circulation of architectural knowledge.

Abstract
In doing so, it contributes to current debates on transnational history, heritage, migration, and the transnational circulation of architectural knowledge.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
