Donne, città e cantieri di corte nel Piemonte sabaudo nella prima età moderna: le ragioni di un'assenza / Women, Cities, and Court Construction Sites in Savoy Piedmont in the Early Modern Age: the Reasons for an Absence

The Savoy building factories of the early modern age have been the subject of studies that have highlighted their connection with the court patronage and as a functional element in the process of inventing the capital city. The model of a highly organized construction site with a bureaucratic protocol does not record the presence of women in building roles and trades. The proposal aims to address the issue and provide new methodological and interpretative keys.
