Abstract: The intensification of China's aging population and people's demand for high-quality living spaces require more precise and scientific residential design. Researches on living behaviours can provide new insights for optimising residential spaces. Based on the perspective of ergonomics, this fundamental research observes and collects the data of an elderly individual's cooking behaviours, constructs spatial behavioural models, comparatively analyses underlying behavioural characteristics, and explores their relationship with kitchen space layout and furniture facilities, providing a scientific basis for age-friendly kitchen design.
