Abstract

Clergy training spaces, consolidated in the Counter-Reformation age, offer an example of spaces in which a precise rule is in force and, with their own enclosures, are clearly separated from the rest of the urban context, but their functions may vary over time. The survey, at the architectural and urban scales, associated with archival information allows us to reconstruct, on the specific case of Ivrea’s Seminary, this complex interweaving between destination, norm(s) and forms.
