Roberto Pane e il racconto della Carta di Venezia: esiti della nozione di “ambiente” tra gli anni Sessanta e Settanta

The concept of «urban and landscape setting» as an object of protection, explicated in Article 1 of the Venice Char-ter, testifies to a strong link with Roberto Pane’s theory of environmental values, which – matured especially in the post-war years – was to accompany him uninterruptedly throughout the rest of his career. By retracing the occasions in which the content and objectives of the Venice Charter are described and popularized by Pane himself, the proposed contribution intends to focus on how that very concept of the setting, that helped de-fine an extended dimension of protection, matures and evolves over a decade.
