The design of signage systems directly influences passengers' spatial experience during wayfinding in metro stations. Taking the People's Square Station as a case, this study employs ergonomic analysis to explore the impact of signage location on wayfinding efficiency. By analyzing spatial choices made when identifying signages and biases in signage interpretation, this study finds that positioning signages within an optimal range from decision points can significantly enhance wayfinding efficiency at People's Square Metro Station. This study attempts to provide insights for the design and layout of signage systems in urban rail transit hubs.

Abstract
The design of signage systems directly influences passengers' spatial experience during wayfinding in metro stations. Taking the People's Square Station as a case, this study employs ergonomic analysis to explore the impact of signage location on wayfinding efficiency. By analyzing spatial choices made when identifying signages and biases in signage interpretation, this study finds that positioning signages within an optimal range from decision points can significantly enhance wayfinding efficiency at People's Square Metro Station. This study attempts to provide insights for the design and layout of signage systems in urban rail transit hubs.Pubblicazioni consigliate
