The concentration and quality of religious heritage structures shape the urban land-scape of historic centres, demonstrating how the circular paradigm (social, economic, cul-tural) was the historical premise of such complex heritage systems. Social dynamics now render this heritage redundant with respect to demography and religious practices, trigger-ing abandonment and decommissioning phenomena that compromise both ordinary main-tenance and conservation planning. To promote conservation plans on an urban scale, it is crucial to comprehend and overcome institutional fragmentation. Additionally, it is impor-tant to encourage new forms of community that can harness the relational potential of the vast, underused heritage. These are the objectives of the ongoing project (2022-2023) on the churches in the historic centre of Turin (ChiesTo), developed by a group of institutional actors with the aim of reactivating cultural and social circularities that animate and plan the daily attendance and conservation of the religious heritage system.

Abstract
These are the objectives of the ongoing project (2022-2023) on the churches in the historic centre of Turin (ChiesTo), developed by a group of institutional actors with the aim of reactivating cultural and social circularities that animate and plan the daily attendance and conservation of the religious heritage system.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
