The identification of previously unpublished archival documentary references, such as the Travel Diary by Clemente Rovere and other known fonds, made it possible to gain specific knowledge about the ceremonial of the court of the princes and the Savoy nobility in the 19th century in their holiday residences. In particular, the subject of food provisioning and serving of meals has made it possible to initiate a new study of everyday life in the Alpine residence of Casotto for the princes Umberto and Oddone and the princesses Maria Clotilde and Maria Pia in the years 1856-1858.

Abstract
