The historic centre of Naples, with its 1021 hectares on the UNESCO World Heritage List - is one of the largest, old-est, and most studied in Europe. However, few restoration projects have been carried out in the last decades, if we exclude the construction sites opened thanks to the UNESCO Grand Historic Centre Programme, which began in 2009 and is still ongoing. The result is the paradox that an exceptional set of values, accompanied by a growing tour-ist demand, is matched by a condition of degradation that has few comparisons in Europe, with social, economic and structural problems of centuries-old origin that still await effective solutions. The objective of this contribution is therefore to propose a balance of these last fifteen years of site management activities, highlighting the difficulties in implementing the plan and outlining a balance of the interventions carried out.

Abstract
The objective of this contribution is therefore to propose a balance of these last fifteen years of site management activities, highlighting the difficulties in implementing the plan and outlining a balance of the interventions carried out.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
