Coping Practice of Architectural Programming in Urban Renewal: A Renovation Case of Enrico Fermi School in Turin

In the context of urban renewal, existing buildings are facing many challenges such as multistakeholders and complex constraints, requiring scientific architectural programming methods for rational decisions. Taking the renovation project of Enrico Fermi School within the initiative of "Torino Fa Scuola", this article analyses the whole process and the participation pattern of multi-stakeholders, summarizes steps and methods of architectural programming phase, and explores coping strategies of architectural programming theory in urban renewal. It indicates that effective time management, scientific procedure and close collaboration of multi-stakeholders play important roles in the success of renovation projects.
